Inspired by the ancient worlds reverence and fear for nature as well as the part humans play in the larger cosmological aspect, Gus takes a deep and enthusiastic look itnto the religions and primal beliefs and ideas held by mankind. Whilst also exploring the curious and poetic relationship man has with this almighty being we today call GOD

From the modern day to antiquity, mankind has always endeavoured to express concepts and themes that transcend linear thinking and mundane causality.

Heavily influenced by the messianic, religious imagery in Christian and Hindu art blending it alongside a comic book-esque style, gives the viewer a strong sense of a larger narrative at play, tying together both the individual piece and its place within the collective of Gus’s journey and work as an artist and as a human.

Gus takes an introspective approach to the themes and ideas that are commonplace amongst all peoples and cultures, in particular those pertaining to freedom, the seeking of knowledge, and concepts such as karma and destiny.
